Program Overview for Education / Concentration: Health Professions Education, M.Ed. Online in Canada:
The Master of Education (M.Ed.), coursework option, is a course-based program designed to deepen your knowledge of education, improve your professional practice and expand your career choices.
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) with major-research paper (MRP) option combines courses and research to specialize in a field and acquire research skills, eventually giving you access to the Ph.D.
This program includes a total of 10 courses (30 units), of which 2 courses (6 units) within the field, 3 courses from different themes (teaching and learning, curriculum, learning assessment, technology and education) and 3 elective courses in any Education course at the graduate level

Minimum average of B and an honours bachelor's degree in education or equivalent (an honours bachelor’s degree in science, in health sciences or in a related field). Candidates who do not hold an honours baccalaureate degree in education with at least a B average must complete the extended program. See program requirements for details. To be eligible for the differential tuition fee exemption you must:
- be admitted to a program of studies offered only in French OR
- have a secondary or postsecondary diploma in French attesting to a minimum of two years of study, and for programs that offer compulsory courses in both official languages (English and French), enrol for the compulsory courses offered in French
The differential tuition fee exemption cannot be combined with the Education Bursary for International Master’s Students or the International Doctoral Scholarship.
