The Master of Education (M.Ed.) with major-research paper (MRP) option combines courses and research to specialize in a field and acquire research skills, eventually giving you access to the Ph.D.

Candidates applying for the concentration in Psychology Counselling (MA(Ed) and MEd) will be required to hold an honours bachelor degree (4 year) in Education, Psychology, or equivalent with at least a 70 per cent (B) average. All candidates must have a minimum of 5 relevant courses (15 credits) in social sciences, which includes 3 psychology courses—two courses at the second-year level or higher, and one course in personality theories.. Other Documents:

  • Written work required: A narrative statement (2 pages) that explains a) how previous academic and work experiences (paid or volunteer) have prepared you for the program b) how the program will help you realize your career goals.
  • Resume required
  • Please note that non required admission documents will not be consulted, conserved or returned to the student. These documents will be destroyed according to our administrative procedures.
  • Recommendation Letter (2)

The differential tuition fee exemption cannot be combined with the Education Bursary for International Master’s Students or the International Doctoral Scholarship.
