The Ottawa Carleton Institute for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (OCIMAE) was established in 1983, combining the research advantages of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa and the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Carleton. Research facilities are shared between the two campuses. Students can use the professors, courses, and facilities of the two universities.
