Dalhousie's CAMPEP (Commision on Accreditation of Medical Physics) acredited master's program in Medical Physics combines course and research work that builds critical knowledge in the field with hands-on training that prepares students for rewarding careers.
Courses in the program provide students with the medical physics foundations specified within the CAMPEP standards. All required coursework is completed in the first year and students focus on their thesis research in the second year.
MSc graduates may go on to pursue PhD degree programs, enter residency training programs in imaging or therapeutic medical physics, or enter the workforce directly.
For Master's degree requirement you need:
Choosing a research supervisor:
Students are encouraged to contact program faculty to select a supervisor and discuss options for thesis research.
Other Application Documents you need:
The English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for MSc in Medical Physics in Canada: are:
N.B: ELP is not mandatory for all international students. You could apply without ELP if your previous degree's medium of instruction were in English. Students of Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, for example, are not required to take the ELP test.Items | Costs | ||||||

The Medical Physics programs are jointly supported by the Nova Scotia Health Authority. A limited number of full student stipends are available in the form of “QAships” whereby graduate students assist in regular quality assurance activities under the direct supervision of qualified medical physicists.
Other graduate students may be funded through their own scholarships or supervisors' research grants.
