Master's degree admission criteria:
Most of the students we accept have a 3.7 GPA or higher (A- average or better) on their last 20 credits. You will also need two letters of reference; one of which should be from the supervisor of your undergraduate or honours research project.
If you are planning to apply for a thesis or research based Master’s or PhD, you might need to find a supervisor before you begin the application process. To find out if securing a supervisor before applying is required or recommended, please check with the graduate program you applying to.
After you apply to the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and before you have received an acceptance, we encourage you to visit the department or start an email correspondence with faculty members whose research interests you.
