At Arcadia, we want to teach you to answer your own questions about human behavior, not just understanding other people's psychology. You will have the opportunity to do practical research in psychology at the beginning of your studies. The 25-person course limit for lab courses and the 20-person course limit for senior seminar courses allow you to think deeply about issues in a small group setting. Our intimate course ladder allows you to get to know faculty, staff, and classmates well and let them get to know you.
You can study a Bachelor of Psychology (BSc) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA). The two's admission and professional requirements are the same, but you can flexibly choose the course that best suits your interests and career goals outside of your specialty. You can take a secondary course in almost any other subject or (if necessary) a second course.
Be Inspired:
Acadia offers neuroscience options, focusing on the study of the nervous system and application options, focusing on effective human behavior management. These options include choosing a few specific higher-level courses in these fields, which can provide solid preparation for careers in the health sciences and applied psychology fields (such as clinical psychology and organizational consulting).
If you meet the requirements, you can study any of these courses with excellent grades. As an honor student, you will work closely with faculty and staff to complete a year-round research project in your fourth year. You will be more than a small part of a great research machine; instead, you will be a co-creator of the original research. The experience gained through this process is invaluable.
Future Careers:
Completion of Grade -12 or High School or Equivalent. All applications must be supported by official copies of all high school transcripts and other records of academic work.
Transcripts should be certified by the school and prepared in a sealed envelope by the school. They can either be sent to Acadia directly from the school or given to the student to send. Certified transcripts acceptable to Acadia will be used as a basis of admission.
Admission requirements differ depending on the student's educational system. We review all applications from international students individually
