This is the premier Master of Science program in most scientific fields at St. Mary's University. Students may research under the supervision of teachers of biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, forensic anthropology, geography, geology, administrative science, mathematics, and computational, cognitive, and neuropsychological, and physical science. This two-year research degree features interdisciplinary training and cooperative employment opportunities.

The eligibility for M.Sc. in Applied Science in Canada for both domestic and international student is:

Honours Bachelor’s degree in Science (or equivalent combination of degree and research experience) from a recognized institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (average standing of ‘B’ or above). Prospective students should explore the Saint Mary’s website to identify a faculty member working in their area of interest. Additional documentation required:

  1. Supplemental Form
  2. A current CV/resume.
  3. Research Proposal: On a separate sheet of paper (with your name at the top), please state your research area and potential supervisor (see Saint Mary’s University website for a list of faculty and their research interests. Also, outline your career aspirations, interests, and long-range goals.
  4. Transcripts: We will accept uploaded unofficial transcripts for evaluation purposes. Applicants must upload a grading scale with their unofficial transcripts. Successful applicants will be required to submit official final transcripts. 
  5. Three (3) recommendation forms.
