Applicants must have a BA with specialization in French studies (Honors) or the equivalent. They must have an average of B + (77%) during the last four semesters of the BA; Applications for admission must be made before February 1 . Although the admissions committee accepts those after this date, priority is given to applications made before February 1 st .

In general, students who hold an Undergraduate Honors BA in French Studies from a Canadian university, with an overall average of 77% or higher, are well prepared for the MA in the Department of French Studies. Holders of an undergraduate degree from a foreign university may be required to take a French test so that the department can determine their level of oral and written proficiency. Moreover, you need to submit:
  • Transcripts
  • Recommendation Letter
  • Letter of Intent (Statement of Purpose)
  • CV/Resume
