The Master of Arts in Art Education is a new degree program at NSCAD University. NSCAD will be the only place east of Quebec where museum and curatorial studies are explored at the graduate level.
The Master of Arts in Art Education offers rigorous research training and hands-on experience to prepare students for careers in a variety of art education sectors.
Students choose from three program streams that allow exploration within a vibrant research community focusing on current methodologies relevant to art education practices in culture and society. The three program streams are:
Applicants to the Master of Art in Art Education should possess either a Bachelor's Degree in Fine or Media Arts, Art Education, Design, or equivalent. Applicants without these credentials or those granted by the NSCAD Visual Art Certificate for Teachers, in consultation with the MA Program Director, must complete a minimum of 12 credits in EDAR or studio-based undergraduate courses. This study will be undertaken at the applicant's own expense, and does not guarantee admission to the MA Program. A minimum grade of 'B' must be earned. Other Documents required:

The English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for MA in Art Education in Canada: are:
N.B: ELP is not mandatory for all international students. You could apply without ELP if your previous degree's medium of instruction were in English. Students of Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, for example, are not required to take the ELP test.Items | Costs | ||||||
