ExploraVision Awards in USA: U.S. EE Savings Bond worth $10,000* at maturity for each student. However, All Participants: A certificate of participation and gift for every student whose team submits a complete project.

The ExploraVision competition for K-12 pupils encourages students to solve real-world problems while focusing on STEM. Through collaborative brainstorming and current scientific and technology research, ExploraVision pushes students to imagine and describe new technologies 10 or more years in the future.

ExploraVision is a scientific competition for students that goes beyond the traditional student science competition to look at what it takes to turn ideas into reality. In order to replicate genuine research and development, a teacher will support and lead his or her pupils while they work in groups of two to four.

A teacher will assist students in selecting a contemporary technology, researching it, imagining what it may look like in 10 or more years, and describing the development phases, benefits and drawbacks, and challenges. Previous winners have imagined anything from a hand-held food allergy detector to a revolutionary gadget that helps patients who have lost limbs regain movement in real time.

ExploraVision is an excellent STEM activity for online or in-person cooperation. For the 2020-2021 Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision competition, K-3 teams will use a new project template, and 4-6 teams will have the option of submitting projects in one of two formats. Each project submission for grades 4–12 follows the standard ExploraVision project format*, which requires the following: an abstractdescriptionbibliography, five sample Web pages, and submit via online.
