TOEFL® Scholarship Program in India: awards $7,000 worth of scholarship to the deserving students.
The TOEFL scholarship and donation program supports various educational programs designed to help students around the world achieve their academic goals. The Indian program recognizes TOEFL candidates seeking undergraduate or graduate studies in India or abroad. ETS will award 15 scholarships of US$7,000 to students to help them continue their education in any of the more than 9,000 TOEFL test-taking institutions around the world.
"ETS provides TOEFL scholarship programs in India every year to promote the educational progress of students pursuing academic goals," said Jennifer Brown, executive director of the TOEFL program. “We are very happy to continue to do this in 2016 while significantly increasing the number of aid and beneficiaries.”
Applicants will be assessed for English communication skills, academic performance, leadership skills, and extracurricular activities. Students must be from May 19 to June 21 Apply online during the day. The semi-finalists will be notified in June and the winner will be announced in August.
Specifically, to be eligible for the TOEFL scholarship award, applicants must:
be a resident of India
begin undergraduate or graduate study at a university or college listed in the TOEFL® Destination Search at www.toeflgoanywhere.org.
hold a grade-point average of 80 or higher on a 100-point scale, or a 3.0 grade-point average or higher on a 4-point scale
demonstrate English proficiency with a valid TOEFL score
